What Is Therapeutic Horsemanship
Price LeBlanc Lexus is a proud partner with GaitWay Therapeutic Horsemanship, but what does this organization do, and how is learning to ride a horse a form of therapy?
GaitWay works with children and adults who have cerebral palsy, autism, multiple sclerosis, and other physical or mental disabilities. Through the development of riding skills, riders also improve their physical, cognitive, emotional, and / or social skills. Taught by a certified therapeutic riding instructor, lessons improve riders’ endurance, confidence, motivation, responsiveness, adaptability, flexibility, balance, and muscle strength.
